Who we are

Chakraborty SW GmbH is an information technology consultancy, based in Bern and Zurich (Switzerland).  We are a group of highly experienced engineers, consultants, programmers and project managers, from internationally diverse backgrounds.

What we do

We specialize in solving difficult, unique problems for large enterprises in a wide variety of sectors, including banking, insurance, government, education and the medical field.

How we do it

Chakraborty Software specializes in network security and unix infrastructure solutions, with a focus on identity management and redundant architectures.

Chakraborty employees form a close-knit team; our consultants support each other across projects with their knowledge and ideas.

We maintain a large network of colleagues whom we trust as experts in a wide range of technical fields; if we don’t know how to do something, we will gladly refer you to someone who does.

About the blog

Chakraborty’s philosophy of consulting is that we have no philosophy of consulting. We are decentralized; each consultant is entirely autonomous in the acquisition, design and delivery of his or her projects, while being able to draw on everyone else’s expertise and network. Our goal is to walk out of a project leaving everyone involved happy.

That said, as we work in a pretty personal network, I’ve been advised numerous times to write down some of what we know.  I understand that this is just the latest of thousands of security-related blogs, some better than others.  Nonetheless, I hope that you find some of this useful and informative.  I am not a guru; if you view anything as objectionable or inaccurate, I welcome constructive criticism, feedback and discussion.
